If you’re interested in Internet Marketing then there are tools and resources you will need.  This page contains links to resources that I recommend.  I use some of them myself and others are recommended by people I trust.

You won’t likely need all of them.  Some things you’ll be able to do yourself.  For example, I am a programmer so I have no problems writing my own HTML pages when needed.

Keep in mind that I am an affiliate for many of these products.

Autoresponders

  • AWeber — this is the one that I use.  It was basically a coin flip between this and GetResponse.  Both are great.
  • GetResponse — another great option.

Giveaway Events

If you’re using a free product to build your email list (and if you’re not, why not?) then these events can be a great tool to build your list.

  • Check out my Giveaway Events page for more details on giveaways that I’m participating in.
  • Guides… coming soon.

SafeSwaps and Traffic Exchanges

This is an area I’m just getting to learn about.  Here are some of the programs that I’m using so far.  Watch for a report on how they work soon.

I’m testing out Hits2U to see what it can do.  It’s not a traffic exchange or safeswap, but it does promise free advertising for 7 days (with extensions if you get others to sign up — hint, hint 8=)  From what I can see, they have a network of sites that display the links, 5 at a time.  I’m not sure where these sites come from yet as I don’t see any links to where you can sign up for that.  Perhaps it’s the mysterious “Step 3” that they promise if you sign up for the GDI (I’m waiting on that — still not sure what it is 8=)

Product Development

eBooks

I’ve found a couple of helpful tools when you want to build an eBook.

  • OpenOffice is great for building eBooks.  It’s free.  There is a built in option for creating a PDF from your OpenOffice documents — and it can read and write most Microsoft Office documents.
  • My eCover Maker is great for turning a graphic into an eCover for promotional purposes.  Great if you’re not handy with PhotoShop or Gimp. Check out the graphic I made for Seven Ways to Screw Up Your List with it.

Web Site Development

This section will be developed over the next few weeks.  Check back often to see what’s new.

Hosting and Domain Registration

  • (mt) Media Temple is the hosting service that I’m currently using.  They have several different types of hosting.  I’m using the (gs) plan right now which has scalability built in — just for the time when one of my sites goes viral 8=)
  • HostGator is my second choice.  At some point I will be setting up an account there for some of the mini sites I plan on building.  Best not to have all your eggs in one basket.  But for now, I’m sticking with a single hosting provider to keep the costs down.  If you plan on flipping sites or building sites for other clients, get the Reseller account.  Then you can give clients separate access and sell the hosting services to buyers of your sites for ongoing income.  To get $9.94 discount use the coupon code LoneWolfMuskoka.

HTML Software

WordPress

  • WordPress is the standard in building websites of all kinds, not just blogs.  Don’t be confused about WordPress.com.  This is a free hosted version of WP but it isn’t in your control.  Get the self hosted version and set up your own domain(s).
  • WishList is the bee’s knees for creating membership sites with WP.  This is the platform of choice for the big dogs and the LoneWolf!  My first membership site is coming soon and is based on this product.

PLR Sources

Private Label Rights content can be a great addition to your blog, emails or eBook.  Provided you get good quality PLR and use it properly.

  • Nicole Dean has a couple PLR sites.  Easy PLR is her main one while YummyPLR focuses on recipes and food.
  • Liz Tomey is another source of PLR and information.  Check out Workshops with PLR.
  • Rosie Cottis at Flamillion is another resource that I’ve had success with.
  • Jimmy D. Brown, the father of PLR, has several courses and workshops at the IMStitute, some with PLR.  Check out the Profit from PLR 5 week eClass.
