Warning — don’t read this book unless you want to be challenged. While this is written with the typical Max Lucado flair, it puts our comfortable lives in the crosshairs of God’s desire to reach the world.
Today I heard some sad news — Dana Key has passed away at the age of 56. As I push higher into the decade count in my own life, I have to expect more news like this — those who have been leaders, motivators, encourages and, dare I say, heroes in my life being called home.
Back in the ’90s Taco Bell had an advertising campaign based around a cute chihuahua (hard to believe, I know). The ads were fresh and fun.
One that I found particularly funny was a tie in with the release of the Godzilla movie. In this ad, the chihuahua had a box balanced on a stick with a string tied to the stick. I’m sure most of us did this as kids, trying to catch a squirrel or rabbit. In his adorable voice, the dog calls “Here leezard, leezard, leezard!”
This is what God asks of us. “Trust me,” he says to us.
