Welcome to Ramblings.

My name is William Charles Nickerson (sounds pretentious, I know).  My friends call me Bill and online I’m known as LoneWolf or LoneWolfMuskoka.

Who Am I?

Who I am is a pretty complex mix.  I find that it is difficult to capture who a person is in a few, simple words, but here are some of the things that I believe are important about me.

I am a follower of Jesus Christ.  I am a husband and a father to 2 beautiful young children (a daughter and a son).  I love to play golf.  I love hockey as well.  Although I don’t play ice hockey any more (maybe this winter 8=) I love to watch the NHL and play ball hockey with the guys at church.

I am currently self employed as a contract programmer, web designer and trainer.  I’ve been working in the IT industry since 1987 (not counting work term jobs during University).  Writing fascinates me as well.  I love crafting words on the page and my blogging has grown out of a desire to reconnect with that creativity and give it an outlet.  I’ve also written some children’s books that I hope to publish on-line this year.

I love to read but I don’t do it enough.  If you want to find out who my favourite authors are you’ll need to read through the blog over time and see.  I’ll sometimes post reviews of books and sometimes I’ll just ramble on about an author or two.  Who knows what will come out of this crazy mind of mine.
