I love to laugh. I love a good comedy. And The Party with Peter Sellers is probably my all time favourite.

Other movies may temporarily jump into the top spot, but somehow this classic bubbles back up to the top.

The plot is pretty simple — a bumbling actor from India is accidentally invited to a Hollywood producer’s dinner party. His interactions with the hosts and guests get more and more hilarious as the movie progresses. Hollywood steryotypes, cultural clashes and just plain silliness keep your laughter rolling. And there’s a romantic interest along the way too.

You’ll want to watch carefully. There are a lot of characters and tons of stuff is going on in the background. You’ll probably need to watch several times to get the full effect (that is another characteristic of movies that I enjoy 8=)

Make sure that you watch out for the lush waiter, the great Indian sayings and the toilet roll.

Rent it now, or better yet, buy it!
